Need suggestions for my new arowana =)

Hi,

any suggestions which would be good tankmates formy new arowana? its about 8-10 inches.
tank would be temporsrily a 4 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft tank.
with 2 driftwoods and an albino gibbiceps.

would severums be good tankmates?
any other suggestions? silver dollars are good but problem is they eat like pigs while datnoids would sometimes fight with arowana.

Strongly depends on which type of aro man.... Silvers and blacks can be kept with just about anything that they can't swallow. Asians are pretty docile to0 but the 2 Aussie species must be kept with much larger fish that can handle the aggression of the Jardini or Liechardti but also be pretty docile so they wont kill the Aussie, I'd recommend Pacu or large catfish...

thanks! mine would be a red arowana, don't think pacu would be good tankmate. might end up killing the aro

4ft x 18" x 18" is not huge my friend...

in that tank, i think i'd keep him solo til u get the new tank for him.
