I would appreciate some suggestions on what kind of fish to have in a 35 gallon hexagon tank. I dont want to have a basic freshwater tank because I already have one. So I would apreciate nobody telling me about Mollies, barbs, tetras, guppies, swordtails etc. Any suggestions would be great I am thinking about cichlids, sharks, oscars, or discuss-angel

I have a 35 hex in storage also. My plan is to get some angels and illuminate from underneath.

How about a large Black Moor and large fancy goldfish. Thats what I have on my screened in porch they are both 12 years old and huge! They also remain out there in winter and I'am in Michigan.

35 Heaxagon tank, more of an up and down-TALL tank(right?)......

Try one of the options:
(a) breeding pair of Discus...You can start with a juveli group of five....OR...Purchase an established beeding pair from the internet or lfs....The local proces in my area for breeding pairs start at $100 and go up, but are well worth the time........
(b) Heavily planted tank with a two dozen smal to medium sized Tetras
1---Neon Tetras
2---Cardinal Tatras
(c)Heavily planted tank with two dozen Dwarf Puffers
(d)Basic breeding setup for Convict cichlids
(e)Your basic Dentist' setup
1---Semi planted tank with one giant peice of driftwood
2---half a dozen neon tetra, 3 Angelfish, 5 Corydoras catfish, a single Bushynose Pleco, and a dozen shrimp.......
