Need suggestions for my tank. It is looking a little empty and im not sure if I should/could add, or if I need to stay with that I have.
Tank info:
Size- 120 gallon 6ft
Fish- 2 green terrors, 1 blood parrot, 1- 8" pleco, 2-4" plecos, 3 raph spotted cats, 1 unsure fish that and older post ended with thinking it was a "low grade" flowerhorn or trimac crossbreed.

Also: Planning on getting a 220-250ish gallon tank within the next year.

any and all comments or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance

shouldnt really get anything else big, go buy a massive shoal of tiger barbs... the long thin ones they'll get some movement in there!-)

I would unload those plecos, they do very little beneficial vs the bio load that they generate, raph cats are get a few more of those , excellent clean up crew,
are the gt's a breeding pair or a future breeding pair? big small what are we talking here, and unless that parrot is a confirmed female it is of little use also ,

gt's are wicked and when they get big there really isnt anything much prettier a pair of gt's in a 125 and a clean up crew seems like perfect stock
here is my u tube vid of my gt in his temp home while i finish my 240 gallon plumbing

anyways here is my adult gt

well that changes things

you could run an all male tank of alot of different things, jd's, maybe a nice ebjd could be nice, i wouldnt get red devil/midas anything they are too hardcore, but maybe a couple of synspillum bb's larger chocolate cichlids would be cool.. i dunno man its your tank, but either way i would ditch the pleco's, and double up on raph cats, are yours striped or spotted, maybe get the opposite to what you have

how many you thinking? and they will be safe with the other aggressive cichlids?
15 or. 20. Would really get some movement, a few might get picked of depending on the size of your cichlids but once they,ve grown they will be safe...

Disagree with the pleco argument. Mine may generate morw bio then he fixes but what fish doesn't. My pleco Mr. Hover goes from tank to tank removing alge.

As for the syn suggestion, mine will kill anything in the tank the moment it shows a sign of weakness.

Ok, so here is what i did. All fish stayed, but i got 17 tiger barbs and added. they seem so be schooling and keeping the whole tank active. so far so good. will update as this project goes on, and will try for pics tomorrowish
