Any suggestions for a catfish that'll eat uneaten food on the bottom of a 300? Tank mates are cichla and a fire eel.

If the uneaten food would provide a balanced and sufficient diet for a catfish, I'd think Pimelodus blochii and Co could fit the bill.

Smaller Doradids or smaller giraffe catfish could do it too

It's just food that the cichla miss so it would be pellets, prawn, mussel, squid and clam meat. Might see if I can find a giraffe cat, do they tend to hide alot?

Auchenoglanis don't hide IME. I don't know about other genus. If getting an Auchenoglanis, one must be aware they grow pretty large. The only species that we are reasonably sure stays at about 1' is senegalis AFAIK.

I bought 7 specimen of these in hopes to see for myself which gets to what size but they have been with me for only 1 year, so too early to tell. Plus IDing is tough when they are smallish.

Yellowcat Yellowcat Kirk, what say you? Kirk's more of an expert on g-cats. I am not.
