Need tips....Cutting arowana anal fin!

Hi everyone I have never operate on any of my Aro's before but moving my rtg caused his anal fin to chip off at the back of the fin and I need some tips if I should cut his anal fin and let it regrow cause I don't think it will grow back to looking normal... thanks everyone

Hopefully you guys have done this before and it grew back
