I have an Eheim 2028 pro II, would recommend Eheim Classic Series over the 2026 or 2028.

If you provide more information, tank size, stock, ect... more suitable replys may be forthcoming.

Do you personally own one? If so, how does it perform? I don't know if I would trust a brand I have never heard of. Not to mention, it looks a little cheap.

I would just Ebay an FX5 for $250 w free shipping.

But, as one of the previous posters said, we need more info. Tank size? Stock?

There are extensive reviews of the above filters on aquariacentral and the planted tank. Most people are pretty impressed for 60 bucks. If I could throw out 250 bucks the FX5 is a no-brainer. But for those of us who can't...this may be a good alternative. I'm getting ready to try one...just waiting for pay day!!

That is good to hear. Would you do all of us filter freaks here in this section of MFK a favor and start a thread on it when you get it?

You know the basics...
How were the instructions?
Parts quality?
Ease of installation?
Quiet?
Etc...

Would be kinda cool to see.

+1 !! I've herd about then but they made me think they're a little..chinsy.. Idk.. Don't judge a book by it's cover! So I'd be pleased to see a review!:headbang2

+2 would like to see how well it works. I can get Fluval 305's for 90 and fx5 for 230, so if this thing works close or as good as one of the fluval filters, might think about it for some of my smaller tanks. Let us know...
thanks

I have a 125 setup. Not looking to spend more than $80 on a filte. leaning toward getting that fake fx5
