Alright, so, first off, I'm by Barstow, CA. I have wwwaaayyy to many pets as it is and I just can't take on another! His old owner was so horrible. Fed them nothing but shrimp! There was 2 but soon after I started caring for them, the littlest already ill turtle passed. Their growth was insanely stunted. They both are/were almost 2yr old red-eared sliders and the size of a half-dollar!!! I just NEED to find a good home for him! I've already raised 2 baby turtles, AND saved one of them from a mysterious illness(he's now all grown up and happy). This needs a new home with experince in turtle care, a good vet, and lots of tlc. Since I've had him, he's become happy, alert, eats like a normal turtle and has improved greatly, but has MBD and needs more care(he's not on the brink of death or anything). He needs good ole UVB and a good diet(currently he eats lots of reptomin). He's improved a lot since I've had him, but with 3 adult rescued turtles, 2 adult tiger oscars, 1 massive pleco, 2 snakes, a dog and a beardie; I just CANNOT have more! I contacted the turtle tortoise rescue, and they told me to drive more than half-way to vegas to drop him off with someone(waaayyy to far away!) If you or someone you know is willing to meet me in Barstow to get this guy i'd be great, I can drive to Victorville once a month to meet you too. PLEASE UNDERSTAND he'll need extra care(healing MBD is an undertaking). I know its a long shot, but ANY HELP OR CONNECTIONS WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED!!! I'm desperate(not desperate enough to dump him on craigslist)! Thanks for reading my post.
