Any idea which species you're looking for? There are about 900 species, with 50 being found in southwestern US, another 240 can be found in southern Africa, the remainder are scattered throughout other temperate zones..

I have heard that they do very poorly in captivity, so they are not readily available. I would give this site a try for more info and help. http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/

ya i have heard the same. i have found some people that get them, they just get them very often.. i have also heard that the reason they dont do to well is bc they need alot of space they need to be moving alot and they need lots of sand so they can dig and they also need very hot temps. so from what i have read if u can give them that and they make thro the shipping process they will do fine.

Some of the countries that these come from might be closed, i am really into centipeids and vietnam has the coolest one the giant. It is closed to all exports of animals. which sucks big time. good luck in your search. maybe send one home in the mail.
