Sorry for jacking up this photo but I was wondering as to what is the name of this fish?

EGGS.jpg

I went to a field trip this afternoon and they did not know what I was talking about when I was asking them if they they have a Jaguar. What type of cichlid is it? Or what should I ask them when I am looking for this fish?

Oh and one more thing, I saw a certain kind of Asian Arowana for sale. I think it was red tip or something like that... I could not understand what the guy was saying when he told me the fish's name. Its about 3.5-4 inches long and they are selling it for $1300. It is not a Jardini or anything similar to that because the beauty of that asian aro stands out. Besides, its the only fish in the store that did not have a price written on the tank. Sounds like a good deal or a "steal" for the fish store?

That looks like a breeding female jag parachromis managuensis

Those look like bolty's  but yeah that is a Parachromis Manguenese, commonly called Jaguar;)

parachromis managuensis..

Thanks. Oh and one more thing, $1300 for an asian aro? 3.5 - 4 incher, good deal?

depends on what kind of asian....... green ehhh

Super red or RTG good

Based on the photos that I have seen, the fish store that I went to is selling a super red for $1300.

Is that a good deal or not? Its not like I'm going to buy it anytime soon...
