Channa aurantimaculata cannot be paired by just putting a male and female in a tank.
A better way is to either start with 5-6 youngones and remove the rest when a pair forms.
It's easier to sex them by looking at the shape of their head from the top, if you can take such pics, I could be able to help you.

Hiii ik it’s really really late lol .but yesss I didn’t just put a male and female . There was a bunch , I got them as a already confirmed pair . I just wanted to make sure with everyone here and thank you so much .
also after so many months got them to spawn but had no luck . They did the spawning rituals but not eggs . And after few weeks I moved them to my pond . And then unfortunately the female killed the male one.
