hello guys, i have a 180 which i stocked with juvi fish 6 months ago with the intention of destocking and keeping the best specimens when the time was right. its starting to look a bit to much so i will give away some fish at xmas. heres what i have now-

geophagus altifrons x 6
turqoise sevs x 4
green sevs x 2
rotkiel sev x 1
uaru x 3
oscars x 2
t bar x 1
denisoni barbs x 5

here's what i was thinking of keeping

altifrons x 4
severums x 2
uaru x 3
oscars x 2
t bar and the denisoni barbs

giving the ultimate size of these fish and the temperment of the oscars, would it work and would i still be over stocked long term ?

opinions appreciated, thanks for reading.

how about this
geophagus altifrons x 4
turqoise sevs x 4
green sevs x 2
rotkiel sev x 1
uaru x 3
t bar x 1
denisoni barbs x 5

Nice fish hard decision hope your happy with the outcome.

thanks for the replies.

oscars x 2 ------------------------------ Get rid of the Oscars. :)

Sonny, is that because you dont like them or do you think it wont work ?

Oscars are very friendly, great fish to have, but they eat so much and pollute so much, :) You'll have Severums in there which IMO are better mates than the Oscars. Without the Oscars your others fishes will be happier and have more room to roam and grow. Teh Altifrons get fairly Big and with 6, when fully mature they will look awesome in the tank. the Oscars will be a distraction, keep them in a different tank if you have one, I don't have Oscars now, but had them in the past, great pet, always there to greet me, never hid and ate everything, which was good.

Pics?

thanks sonny, i think your right, the other fish have been a bit skittish since i added the oscars. i'll give them away.

i dont have any up to date pics, might have time tomorrow.
heres some of when i first got my fish.
