i had him set up in a QT tank while i finished up treatment for ich on my MT
and i just tested the water in my QT and the amonia levels are starting to climb
i just did a 50% water change on my mt but there should still be some salt in it
thus why i'm asking
need to be sure if they can tolerate the salt

Oh I see if I understand that correctly-
But anyhow-Yes they can tolerate salt......I never had one problem for 5 years of raising mine-
I use to add salt to the tank just for giggles at times....
