I just noticed that my male whites tree frog's lower belly and thighs are looking pink. I am hoping that this isn't red leg. He ate just recently, isn't acting lethargic. He shed twice recently, once today and the other time earlier this week.

attached are a couple of pics

Please I need advice of what I need to do!

PS, there aren't any herp vets anywhere nearby

Looks rather red , does it have anything in it's tank that can rub it raw? or non sterilized items?

It has malaysian driftwood but I don't think that would rub it raw. The female is looking nice and white underneath.

Nothing new added

i would quarantine it , sterilized that cage and its new one , only have the bare essentials in the new one and give him time to heal up.

I actually just set up a 5 gallon quarantine tank, w/ paper towel substrate, small water bowl, and silk plant.

I am going to put both of the frogs there
I am probably going to give them the lamisil treatment for chytrid just in case as they have a couple of symptoms.
The pinkish belly on the male, the excessive shedding, and the female staying mostly in place for a couple of days now.

Would pimafix work as chytrid treatment? As it is an anti-fungal medication.
I've also read of people successfully using tetra general tonic to treat chytrid.
What would the dosage be?

I am asking about the pimafix as I have a whole bottle of it already lying around

Edit: I just found this thread

The poster used pimafix to treat his pacman frog and it was apparently successful

Hi,
I would stick with the lamasil if I was doing it but that is just my opinion. If you do the chytrid treatment one important thing to remember is they need to go back into a clean enviorment daily after the treatment or they just get reinfected.

The shedding twice in 2 weeks is what would worry me. Are they soaking in the water bowel more than normal?

Can you try and get a clearer / lighter picture of the belly? How long have you had them?

They have not been soaking in the water dish recently
I had them since about may this year, so about 3 months.

I just checked out both of them and the both have nice cream bellies now.
The female is hopping around now since I misted the tank.
Every time I lift the top, she climbs onto the rim and tries to jump away. The male is resting on the bottom of the tank under the corner of the paper towel.

My brother noticed a mushroom in the main tank, maybe the substrate has been to moist, and maybe that could have caused irritation for some reason.

Here are some pics from today
