Flourish shouldn't be bothering them at all. Why would excel kill them. What kind of lighting do you have? Also what substrate? Was there a big change in the ph from where you got them, to the tank they are in now.

Having values for

Gh
Kh
Ph
Ammonia
Nitrate
Nitrite
Phosphorus

Duration of your lighting period. Your 10 k bulbs are doing very little to help. 6500-6700k is about perfect.

How tall is the tank?

Will help shed light on your problem.

Vals are not difficult plants to keep. Are you using any root tabs?

Maybe stop using the flourish and see what happens. You could also have plants that the leaves are grown emersed and the plant needs time to shed those leaves and grow new submersed foliage.

It looks like tank isnt cycled yet.
Lots of nitrite.
What about chlorine?

Im about to get more plants in the mail should I just cut off the melted part of the leafs from shipping plant them and let them do what they do. Should I cut off the melted parts if they melt more while adjusting in the tank

I would play the waiting game with the plants. Most times they need time to acclimate to their new environment.

You can cut off the melted parts but chances are it will melt all the way to the base.
