I am new to this hobby.I bought the flower horn about two months back.
(shown in the pic)SORRY FOR THE BAD PICTURE QUALITY.

Now it is about 2 inches. but now a days he only stays in one corner of the tank shown in the photo



And sometimes when he gets out swims around and gets back to that place.Sometimes he swims so rapidly here and there and even collides with the glass of the tank.it may just for a few seconds but it is so rapid that u cannot figure where the fish is.Please help me over this.



I also had some questions about my flower horn as i am an amateur.

1)The first thing i wanted to know that is it a male or a female?

2)Will it get hump when he/she grows up?

3)What do u think about its colours?

4)Of what breed or type it is?

Well i read your post in Orkut in realist fish section
first of all
he is new to the tank so he will take time to settle.
second its a male.
3rd wait and feed him a good diet he will show vibrant colors.
4th
nice pick dude.

Get him something to hide under.
A large terra cotta pot, or build a cave with rocks and slate.
He will feel more secure.

Great choice, and a good specimen!

He is a very nice flowerhorn and he will grow a nice hump for sure. For a noob you picked a really nice one to start with haha. I don't know the strain but the shape and pearls remind me of my ILC gold base flowerhorn.
