coral springs, florida
Hello everybody, I'm moving soon and I rather set up a larger tank than moving my 75gal. I found a custom 150gal on Craigslist for $200 and I'm not sure whether it's a good purchase or not. Tanks here in south Florida are stupid expensive unless you get lucky, I could sell my 75 for $250 easily.
I have the link if anyone could take a second and help me out. Guy said it just needs lights and plumbing.

Custom 150 gallon custom aquarium with built in overflows, drilled tank, a little over 1/4" glass in thickness all around,(very heavy)comes with 3 glass hoods and a wet/dry filter system. No leaks or cracks comes with stand needs paint. Around the black trim on the fish tank has dry glue because I had wood trim glued on it I will show in pics. I took pics of it on its side because theirs bulkheads on it. Call or txt

And description.

I'd get it, it was probably a reef tank or saltwater at one point

looks like a old lobster tank to me, not something i would buy.

yeah just went to check it out in person, was a saltwater tank previously with seahorses. all seals and glass were good but im testing it for leaks before i pack it up on monday morning. Looks old because it just needs some cleaning but has great potential. Has wet and dry system that just needs pipes.

If i get it ill keep updating this thread, thanks everyone

I find that old glass tanks are rather easy to fix up. Give yourself some added peace of mind and just reseal it. Takes 1 day. I'm running an old 7x2x2 and it still holds water

It might take 1 day to reseal it but a month to cure fully or even more. My father has tanks that are 20 year olds that were never sealed and holds water. 100-300 gallon tanks.

That tank I would buy! Clean it like crazy and it will serve you well. I would reseal it depending how the seals look.

Def does not take a month to cure..I let me tanks cure for 48 hours of I reseal the tank. Baffles in sumps I cure for 24hrs never had an issue

Depends on the humidity and size of the tank. Yeah sure it can take two days to do it but even tank builders tell me that's how long they take for tanks above 200 gallons
