My 1st mistake was buying 2 channel cats from Wal-mart,that aside since i have owned them(2 weeks) they have scratched(flashed) constantly,i have done 3-50% water changes(along with a couple 25% w.c.'s).I have tried "Ich Away" from Wardly,my ph is 7.0 my amonia is at.0.can someone give me some advice??They eat very well and always have a huge belly, really besides the flashing they seem pretty normal.:irked:

DO NOT use rid ich. Ich meds are known for killing scaless fish. you'r best bet IF you see ich, which is very nticible if they have it, is to use 1 tablespoon of salt per 5g and raise temp to 86*. follow this treatmen for 21days

Are you sure they're channels? None of the three I own move constantly (and they have been in a few different set ups) and are quiet easy to inspect... even when young...

I would highly suggest treating them with salt instead of ich treatment, but if you are set in using a chemical, remember to only use half the dose when scaleless fish are present. As it is, all the chemicals you've already tried have probably stressed the poor things systems... although channels are pretty hardy, I would still be careful

Yeah these guys are blue channels, they are constantly looking for food, they also show a little aggression every now and then.Well all the channel cats that i have owned in the past moved around alot until they got to 7-8" then they chilled out,i am going to bump up the temp and add more salt, thanks.
