I recently got a 5ft stand, and I placed my 75G tank on top of it. I am a little worry about the stand, will it hold onto the tank with 4 thin wood panel (see picture) or will it going to fall? What do you think? Should I reinforce it before I add water or am I good to go? 
beef it with some of 2x4's to give you peace of mind and because the edges look worn and this can open the wood, chipboard no doubt, to the water which causes swelling, rotting and weakness. chipboard is a terrible material to use on a stand that is holding a body of water and will, without a doubt, get water spilled on/down it. i honestly cant understand why they still use it when pine is just as cheap now.
