Ill start by saying hello to all. Im new to the site.Im also new to doing the fish thing. Yet, Im the proud owner of 9 piranhas. I started with 5. But last week I had adoped 4 others. The 4 i got were once red bellies as my others are. But the bellies are no longer red. Can anyone tell me why the may of lost their colour and will the red come back in the future. The last owner took good care of them. The tank she has was rather small but all in all. She did maintaine them. She feed them blood worms. I have been feeding them live fish and raw steak. They have taken very well to the new menu. Eitherway Im hoping to understand the question I have ask. Thank you.

You may want to ask in the Piranha section to get more answers but I'll give it a shot.
The stress of being moved to your tank may have caused them to lose color and in that case it will come back when they're settled. Another option (though a stretch) is dominance. I have two bluegill together and they both originally had red and yellow bellies but once one established himself as the alpha the others belly turned black. No idea whether P's can/will do the same thing but hey.
Welcome to MFK

they might be just stressed out and getting use to their new home
