Long time stalker I am finally posting as for my birthday I am getting a tank that is starting to enter the smaller dimensions of monster tanks.
It is going to be 1200*450*500mm(47.24*17.7*19.68 inches) so 270L (71.32 gallons).
I need advice on what to stock it with as I have no idea what fish I should put in it.
I want to get a large, or a pair of large fish to be the center piece of the tank, either some of the larger sa/ca chichlids, or some oddball (weird looking) fish.
So can people please advise me on what I should stock it with (and keep in mind that I live in New Zealand, so the variety of fish is limited).
Thanks in advance for the help.

Id get a green terror or salvini. As well as a senegal bichir!

I like the idea of GT, I was thinking maybe a pair of them, but is my tank large enough?
I do like bichirs, but I thought that tank would be a bit to small for them.
Sorry for all the questions, but some of the information you get in a google search is contradictory, and I dont want to get a fish that will out grow my tank as I am unlikely to be able to get a bigger one.

A pair of green terrors would be pushing it but you could if you wanted to.
