So about two weeks ago I noticed there were about two dozen eggs that had been layed in and around the plants in my 200 gal but I didn't think anything of it since I just set it up about a month ago and all the fish in it are still young especially the three needle fish I have. I thought maybe the crayfish I have layed some duds (since its about a year and a half old), but when I woke up today I saw there are about 7 needle fish fry swimming around the tank. I was hoping someone could give me some insight on what to feed them, how to take care of them, etc. so next time around I can be a little more prepared. I know not too many people talk a whole lot about needle fish but any information will help.

your going to have a very difficult time feeding the baby needles because they are only going to eat live foods maybe you can get them on dry
anyways good luck and post some pics

Separate the fry to their own tank. Feed them brine shrimp if you have an lfs that sells them live (you can raise them from eggs too). They are probably too small to feed them mysis shrimp, but you can also try thawed blood worms fed individually. See if they will eat ground up flake food.

yes brie shrimp would probably be the only thing they can fit right now. U can find live at most lfs. good lcuk i would love to see pics of the babies :)

if you can get some newborn guppies or other livebearers, that would be a good food as they start growing
