Ah too bad ,oh wellNever seen over 12inches. Need brackish water usually unless can confirm catch locations. Pretty skinny to be able to swim in the same zone as a odoe pike.
Definitely no puffers, it would be with an odoe, flagtail, hujeta and chalceus and some bichirs on the bottom, but I’m definitely gonna pass, the fact that it could get beat up coupled with the brackish water is more of a risk than I’m gonna takeAlso if you are to get any I'd say avoid stuff like puffers, at least when the needlefish are small. Those things are like toothpicks, especially in their juvenile form
Is 6x2x2 appropriate? The biggest issue with this species is that the snout is very fragile. Would recommend a aquarium with proper width and length.
Is 6x2x2 appropriate?
I’m probably gonna pass for the other reasons mentioned, but if I come across a bigger one, I may consider itYes the minimum wouldn't put one in anything smaller. If you decide to buy them from a lfs check the snout for damage prior.
