Hi everyone.
Would it be advisable to put a needlefish in my 46 (uk) gal community tank? My current stock is:

5 x torpedo barbs, 6 x tiger barbs, 1 x ruby shark, 1 x plec, 3 x albino cory, 2 x rainbow, 2 x golden gourami

I am thinking of rehousing the rainbows and gourami as they are now a bit of an odd mix and I have a friend who will take them.
Having done a quick internet search on needelfish it seems there are breeds that are placid.

what do you recon?
thanks

Seems to be fine the way it is..You might be able to add a hujeta gar...But I would leave it as it is for now..

either the needlenose will pick off your barbs, or the barbs/sharks will pick on it. I'm assumeing your refering to the gar looking predetory tetra about 10" + full grown. they also require live foods unless your very very lucky to get it on a prepared diet. had a few, includieng my current one that won't eat anything but live food. and being a tetra they are schooling fish. mines single atm but will be getting some buddies here soon.

Not my first pick for a semi-aggresive community tank.

Mine only would when VERY hungry. He hits them right when they hit the water, doubt he even knows. If hes recently eaten he won't touch worms.
