needlenose gar price

how much would a needle nose gar cost and how big?
and what type of gar will grow the least

Any where between 9 and 13 dollars is what i have seen them priced. I bought mine for 12. They don't grow really large about 12'' is what i have been told. I have had mine for 1.5 years and he is about 8'' tip of noes to end of tail. Got him at about 5'' or so. verry slow grower. Extremely skitish but fun to feed. In the last month I got him to eat krill, instead of just feeders.

you hit it on the head! All i have to add is that they are not a true gar. they stay much smaller than any true gar...as stated above 12" or so.

ok thanks, im thinking of getting one with my 5inch silver arow. and how long can it live without eating, an 5 inch gar

silver will eat the needlenose
silvers grow fast big 36" needlenose skinny 12" grow slow

i have a small silver w/ a small needlenose. i dont think they even know each other exist. once the aro gets bigger i will more than likely seperate them.

I also hav a small silver aro with my needle gar and they co-exist fine but i am just growing the aro out it has a 180 to move to.
