Needlenose Gars (Xenentodon cancila) Keepers?

im cycleing a tank for 3 of them. ive done alot of reading on them, but would just like some personal experience stories about them please...
has anyone had success of weening them off of live food?

just got one the other day...mine is just 3-4" inches. only had luck feeding him feeder guppies. wont even take a mealworm.

he died after five minutes Interesting in a specie tank i hear or with other non aggressive fish that don't fit

never had luck with any they were to picky and slow of eaters I ended up giving them to a friend and he had them for quite awhile before he killed them somehow
