Needlenose or Slantnose?

neither are gars 
needlenose is a half-beak relative I think and the hujeta (slant nose) is a characin.
I have kept hujetas but not needlenose. Hujetas are a little vacant, but fun to watch eat, and they look pretty good.
I would recommend acestrorhynchus species over these 2 hands down.

i have kept the slant nose or hujeta and there a fun fish. if u do it i would get 2 or 3 they seem tolike it in groups. that and they dont grow as fast as some other fish. there also a easy fish to have but the only prob u might run into is if u stop feeding them live food and try and go to shrimp or worms or something, it might take a little work to get them to swich over to other foods.
