I lately just bought an freshwater eel I was told it was a Dragon eel but i took him home about a week ago and he has yet to eat and I was wondering what i should try feeding him i currently have some small feader guppys im new with an aquarium and raising fish but i've done some research
 
Hi andrew and welcome. I think the first thing we need to do is find out exactly what fish was sold to you as a dragon eel. Can you post a pic? or is it this one? if it is you have a violet goby which can live in fresh, brackish or salt water. they do best with a little salt at least. In the wild they can get over 18" but in a freshwater tank seldom exceed a foot. Despite the large mouth they very seldom eat fish, they are gravel sifters and often will be seen scooping up mouthfuls of fine sand and spitting it back out. they do well on brine shrimp, black worms, glass or ghost shrimp, tubifex worms, and very small earth worms. They will also eat loose detritus. they will eat frozen brine shrimp but there isn't a whole lot of nutrition in it, they will also sometimes eat flake food if it is soaked first to sink to the bottom. They will probably not eat meal worms and for them to eat a guppy the guppy would damn near have to swim into it's mouth.

:eek: DANM..... were do u find that bottom one it rocks :headbang2. Is this what yours is????? this is mine and if so listen to everything guppy said. Oh ya mine is 8 inch and over yaer old and is in 100g
