yes i have a pair of neets in a 29 gal with black sand , a cave , a hangon filter and a sponge filter with one bosemani rainbow and three red columbian tetras. The water temperature is around 80. i also have two smaller tilipia busmani as target fish but for some reason i can not get my pair of neets to breed can anybody help me.

I had a group of them for over a year and never saw fry... although they would go in and out of breeding coloration... and I know that I had boys and girls.

The tank was in a hard to see spot so I didn't look to hard. The fish did well (didn't lose any), they grew... just no babies.

I sold the group, so I'll have to try again some time.

Mine pair did sot of the same thing. Female stayed in breeding color for months with no eggs. Finally they laid about 20 eggs after 6 months. I bought them as adults. Now they spawn about every 6 weeks but still have pretty small spawns. Only 100 or so eggs. They seem to take some time to get settled in and the breeding thing figured out. If you know you have a female and male I would just be patient.
