Negative effects of a saltwater light on a freshwater tank?

Petco donated some of there unsold excesses fish items to our shelter amongst the items was a bunch of of lights. I took some of the lights, the only ones that fit my fixture are made for salt water. Would there be any negative affects from me using this on a fresh water tank?

Ok so they're power compacts. The only thing they'll really do is make the tank appear bluer than usual. Unless you have live plants that require high lighting, you'll be fine.
