I agree, I thought this was going to be cool, like some sort of seeled aquarium at pressure for some weird exotic fish... but it's just a tank in another tank with no awesome fish.

I get it, but you decreased the total volume by doing that. Fill up the outer tank an inch or so below the top and mount the small inner one much higher. To increase total volume....
