A friend of mine let his tank go :irked:...He never tried to sell the poly's or inform...Now that im redoing my tank and getting a new one..he was wondering if I can take his of his hands...but they are the same size as when he first got them like a year ago..it seems they are stunted due to the dirty tank and no more bloodworm feedings..he was giving them nothing but flakes for a whole year :screwy: ...anyway..i don't know what I can do..because ..if they have been stunted in growth because of that horrible situation..what can I do? they wont grow ever..will they? is there any meds for stunted growth...so they wont grow with the other fish and im afraid they would become dinner one day.

They might grow. Stunting isnt always permanent, at least from what iv seen. But what fish are you going to be adding to the tank with the polys, and how big are they?

If in fact they are stunted then they will not grow anymore. They could however just be slow growing depending on the species. If you could give a list of the species and sizes they are at. If you do decide to take them in, and they are stunted it will probably alter what you wanted as your stock. However if you don't the best thing you can do is try and find a home for them some place else. Seeing as how your friend doesn't seem like the type that would go through the extra work to make sure the fish live a better happier life somewhere else.
