Apparently the neighbor flea bombed her house and didn't cover her tank and killed off all her fish. So she was just going to throw it all away, and acrylic 50gal 18inx3ft, AC70 filter, Eheim heater, stand.

So if I scrub it all real good with some bleach it would be fine to use?

Thanks for the speedy reply
So just HOT! Water and a good scrubbing
Good catch on your part as well!
Thanks, that's all I have ever used on my tank rescues and I have a few. This one must be a twenty gallon and it must have recently housed a snake of some kind.It has a screened top, plastic water bowl and a hollow stump. It also had some bits of shed snake skin inside.
I'll just clean it and store it as I will probably never need to use it.

For peace of mind i’d probably test fill the tank after cleaning with some dither fish just on the off chance there maybe any residual pesticides still in the silicone or something...

Last thing you’d want to do is set it up and have it kill all your fish...

It came with 2 bags of carbon, would running it with just the carbon help clear up any missed bug bomb remains. I did scrub the hell out it with just hot water. Just for peace of mind before I toss in a feeder fish?

IMHO I don’t think the carbon would do much, and I would also scrub out the filter and cycle it with the feeder
I tossed the old sponge, bio-rings. The rest of the filter sat in strait hot water for a hour or so before I scrubbed it to death.
I'll just start it with some bio-rings from the 125 for the feeder fish test.
