have one bred or heard that some one have bred neon tetra before ??? if yes plz tell me how . i googled it but i found alot of info and so are opposite .. so wanna know from some one for real ..

yeah, it's not too hard to breed them if cared for properly and if kept in a species only aquarium. I personally have not bred them but I do have close associates who have.

can u help me then ?? tell me how to breed them in a pro way !!

They are spawned by the thousands from breeding nets. The eggs drop through the net and are then separated and raised in rearing tanks or ponds. Pretty much all neons we see are captive bred. It is fun and easy, so try it!

I did this accidentally once... I didn't have my pleco in the tank (they eat the eggs) He was in my newer set up at the time...and the lights were not working at the time (so keep the lights off). I had been feeding them lots and lots of blood worms at the time. Every morning. And I had some java moss spread out over a coco hut (I bring this up, because I did read later, that the adults go nuts trying to eat all the eggs...and the moss must have protected them from having this happen). I had been doing lots smaller water changes in the tanks, because my kids kept feeding the fish on me (tanks are now locked in my bedroom)...They like the freshest water possible. And I was shocked when replacing the light...to see 20 or so little babies darting around the bottom of the tank. They ate frozen baby brine and grew fast. You may want to have some of this on hand prior to breeding them. My water ph is right around 7.2 here...if that helps any, and I kept my tank right around 73 degrees. I think the reason I had so few come out of this alive, is I had a HOB filter. You might want to make sure and have a sponge filter up and running for it.

Short version:

Feed high quality food
Keep lights off
No pleco
Java moss or something (mesh netting?) at the bottom of the tank...
72-74 degrees
multiple small water changes (20% every few days or so)
sponge filter
And have baby brine on hand...live or frozen. (Mine didn't care either one should work)

Hope this helped...
