I recently had neon tetra's breed without trying, since then they hav'ent stopped! but I have been told this is a difficult feat..... true or not? and what do ther people do , as in how do others raise tetra fry? I have taken the eggs and tried to raise them myself, right or wrong I have only just managed anfter months to raise six!!!!!! c'mon guys give us a clue!!!

dont move the eggs until they are free swimming

i'm interested in details..

I have heard you have them spawn over some marbles and the eggs fall to the bottom of the bare tank where the other fish can't get to them, I have heard the challenge with the fry is feeding them since the are very small so crush flakes and bbs would not work in this case. Think micro when it comes to feeding the fry with live foods.

xdragonxb0i,I have always taken the eggs immediatly, otherwise the very tetra's that spawned them ,eat them immediatly!

i have no idea? but send me a message when you get the hang of it. ill buy some from you!

dr_sudz, It' a seven gal breeding tank, with a fluval sponge filter(not sure which manufacture number but it's real gentle). I remove the eggs straight away(otherwise they eat them) and place them in a flotation tank, made myself from a plastic frame covered in a stocking!! I now have raised six full grown tetras and hoipe the next time will be more successful

details bout what exactly!!!!!????? sorry I m very english very sarcastic very intelligent and very blonde!!!!! im makin fun!!!

You would breed neons very similar to the way you breed danios. I know someone who has done it and it seems to be the same way you would breed and raise danios. You need an eggs saver and then after the eggs are layed take out the parents! Hope that helps.
