Should the divide between Neotropical cichlids really be between CA and SA?
I think the divide should be between "Amazon basin" cichlids and "Neotropical" species. My reasoning here is that most, if not all of the Cichlids found on the Pacific coast, west of the Andes, have similar behavioral profiles, as well as the blanket "Cichlasoma" designation.
Just broadcasting thoughts.
