Nervous butterfly ram

Hi,

Three days ago I aquired a butterfly ram. I acclimated it correctly, and the first day it hid as usual. The second day it was still hiding. Even today it is still hiding.

Now I know that fish hide when they are stressed and over time it will aclimate to its surroundings, and it might take a bit, but I was wonder how much time exactly would this take?

It depends on so many things ... traffic in the room, are there dither fish, are they other cichlids. My rams always too weeks (3-6 usually) to settle even in a non-high traffic area with only dithers, no other cichlids.

if the tank doesn't provide too much cover, it could take a couple of weeks
