My 9'' Delhz has started sitting in one corner of the tank at certain times of the day, and swimming in a fast tight S pattern, pushing all the sand away from that corner. Until the bottom of the tank is bare.

Suddenly she doesn't seem to like the sand in there. This is the same Delhz that used to love to bury herself in the sand a week ago!!

Could she be nesting and getting ready to breed? My husabnd thinks so.

from what i've read, bichirs don't nest. They spread their eggs around. Probably stressed

No not swimming against the glass. She does this on the bottom of tank. And then once all sand is removed she is fine and stops.

Maybe she is still stressed, because the BGK was beating on her? He has been rehomed as of yesterday. Hopefully she will calm down.

I had an ornte that did that when i first got her i believe its a stress issue-Anne

let her be she'll be fine
