+1

fins will grow back, the main concern is whether or not the net is still on the fin and whether its wrapped around something. If it is wrapped around the dorsal spines it should be removed if possible. I have a special net I use thats for cats and other fish that are prone to getting fins and barbs stuck. I used melafix on my hybrid when it got tangled up in a territory dispute with a red devil and he grew everything back, including a dorsal spine. If your water is kept clean, the fins should grow back without even needing meds but pics would help to better diagnose. I only use meds when I HAVE to.

only a little piece of net is stuck in one of the pectoral spines will it come off normally

This happened to my hybrid when I had him. The fins wont grow back correctly if you dont remove the net. What I did is wait until he wasnt moving then id grab the piece of the net with a pair of needle nose pliers. Then he swam away and it ripped the net off. uploadfromtaptalk1372253954309.jpg

Get the net off him if it causes fin damage it'll grow back if you don't remove the net it'll cause probs as he grows , id say priority is get the net off the fix the damage , good luck tweezers or thin pliers will get it off , if your struggling wrap him in a wet towel and hold still

Just let it be it will come off on its own. Happend to me with a Lima, it took a few weeks.

Pic? it would be easier to say to mess with him to get it off to leave it.. He was likely acting odd after the ordeal from the stress not neccisarily the netting. My cats I found get stressed easier then other fish in this reguards. I found the small scissors for cutting your nails work the best for snipping the netting off ( also I always have them in hands reach during moves for this reason)
