So i'm thinking of giving Netflix a try. any feedback? seems like you cant go wrong, thinking of the 2 DVD package + streaming video.

hows the streaming video? any issues? this gives me another excuse to finally get a PS3. i dont play video games so the bluray & digital video player for netflix will come in handy.

so, what are the goods/bads?

J, I have had the package you describe for about 4 years now. Danger is becoming too attached and feeling you "have" to watch the movies soon as they arrive so you can send them back, etc. Can become draining vicious cycle. but service is great, turnaround is super quick. saves so much time and hassle. very worth it. enjoy

i love it :) but theres only certain movies that will play instantly on your computer or tv. you can have the watch instantly sent to your x-box and it gets saved on there so you can watch it anytime over and over.

LOL my gf and i were talking about whether we really "need" it since we dont watch that much tv as it is, but cant go wrong. especially when we decide to rent 2 movies it costs friggin $10+ at blockbuster :irked:

so what is their streaming movie list like? is it all old crap that comes out on cable tv?

I just signed up 2 weeks ago. The streaming video is excellent if you have constant connection to internet and computer. It is like having the latest movies. The quality of the DVDs and Streaming video is superb, the loading online is neckbreakingly fast. My friends love me for it. I have the 2 DVD package also, they arrive very quickly and you can delay the arrivals if necessary, if you lost a sleeve or something, you can just send two in one sleeve. They are very flexible. Go for it!

streaming stuff is usually older, independent, foreign, or documentary type stuff. I really enjoy independent and foreign films so for me it's a plus.

I LOVE Netflix. Going to watch a movie after I MFK it up a bit actually....Lord of War.

I had the 2 at-a-time, I upgrade to 3. The online watching is great, never skipped out or stopped or anything like that. Takes a matter of seconds(20 or less) to load the whole movie for me. It has a full screen button which is nice.

Doesn't take too long to get the movies back. Say I turn the 3 in Sunday night, they usually recieve it Tuesday and I get them back Thursday. I swear noone works there monday. I've returned them saturday morning or friday night and they get recieved still on Tuesday, who cares though. When they say their shipping though, I always get them the next day for me at least. Their distribution center is in Columbus so at most 50 miles from my apt.

Only had one issue with scratches, you just tell them(very easy, just a few clicks on their site) and they will either send a new one or you can just opt to just go to the next in your queue.

Have fun, they have tons of movies.

P.S. You can also rate the movies you watch or any for that matter, by doing this they can help you pick out a genre that you seem to like. Their pretty spot on for me.

good stuff. now how's the picture quality of the streamin video?

i have a 61" DLP HDTV and i HATE watching stuff in non-HD that is all streched out an fuzzy. if i watch the streaming stuff on my tv, will it be a good picture?

and does anybody do the bluray option???
