so today was sunday
nothing else to do,figured i would go try to net some small fish for my 1 tank
very dry out,no water anywhere
then i found all these dead gar in one spot
then next to them i find one lonely tiny puddle
this thing was like 10'x5'x5" deep
then i see something move
i go down to it and stick my net in the water
scared the crap out of me,about 20 big gar start boiling the water and splashing mud!
so i tried to net around them for lil fish and sure enough theres small ones too
armored cats,tons of ghost shrimp,jewels,flagfish,sum un id fish,and more
so then i started pulling out gar to look at them
thats when i found this guy!
seen him and said thats no gar
i ran the bowfin to my parents pond
i might go back just to see if theres more,but to do that the gar have to go
would be sweet to find baby ones
the gar well i was going to throw them in my pickup cus there was too many and too big for my buckets LOL
so i was going to fill up my truck with them,drive a mile or so,and dump them in gar lake
only reason i havent done it yet is i dont want to get in trouble and that netting journey will be noticeable 4 sure lol
might still do it tho for the funny azz pix of 20+ 2' gar floppin round in a truck bed haha
the bowfin wasnt doing good in the ditch so hopefully he makes it in the pond
