Tonight I was using a fine net to grab out dead leaves floating at the top of the tank when my 4" Bala Shark swam in, scared. He just could not get out and I noticed his dorsal was very firmly stuck in there, like a pictus cat. I used my mums best scissors to cut the net to get him free. He has now got a next to no slimecoat on his upper body, a cut near his left eye, cloudy eyes and a severely torn dorsal fin. All these problems should heal within a week without any meds.

Now my question.
Has anyone ever had thier Bala Shark get caught in a net?

why did u have deadleaves in a tank

I no longer have bala sharks, but I always caught them in nets with no problem. Things happen though even if your well prepared and take precautions.

I can just imagine John. Now when I went to net out some smaller fish today for transportation they would always slip through the hole in the net. :irked:

Amelhel0: Leaves actually do fall off from stem plants. And once a leaf has been seperated from the main body of the plant it is therefore declared dead.
