Netting stuck on catfish barb

I was moving my fourline cat from one of my tanks into another and he was thrashing around whe i netted him and the netting got stuck on his fin, i tried to free it but i wouldnt come off so i cut it and now (two days later) his fin looks all red and the netting is still there. What should i do? Will it fall off eventually?

Yes it will fall off. In the future, you should use other methods to catch catfish (cup with holes, water bottle with holes etc,google is your friend)
