Never Even Considered Keeping Salt, But I Have To Act On This Craigslist Post!

I wouldn't waste my money. If that's really a 55 gallon it's a tall tank. A 48 inch by 12 inch tank would be better. From the blurry pictures, it doesn't seem like the tank has been well maintained. The homemade canopy may make working in the tank/feedings difficult. This tank has too much sand and not enough live rock. Also keep in mind the equipment may or may not be in good shape. I started my 75 reef from scratch and I was able to aquascape it to my liking. Just my opinion!

Haha thanks guys. I guess I'll pass. I was just gonna offer him $100. The original 125 I was getting for 200 bucks included tank/stand/filters/mbunas/lights. But the guy texted me today and said due to a death in the family he couldn't break down the tank for me tomorrow. I was desperately looking for another awesome deal on a 125 since I had already cleared room on the uhaul trailer for a 125, but I decided I'm not going to get one again til I find an awesome deal. I'm not really in a rush.

I acted without patience and got a 225 gallon 5' long, 3' wide and 2' high tank complete with glass lids, metal frame stand and filter for $200.

sometimes patience is over rated. good luck on your search!
