Yesterday I Was trying to readjust the heater in the tank that they had moved while feeding, So I put my hand in and the fish come swiming right towards it, I take it out they swim away I put it back in and they do the same thing, Every other time I have had to go in tank they always stayed on the other side of the tank.

how big is the fish? any sign of breeding behavior? maybe it's trying to defend it's nest????

They are around 6 Inch and there are four of them. No sign of breeding.

well thats kinda odd i have never had that happen with my reds i had my rhom does that but thats cuz its a subadult rhom not a red???? makes u think. how often do u feed them and how much?

I feed them a few times a week, I feed them enough, Not sure how to tell you how much, I change what I feed everytime from pellets to shrimp to fish filets.
