never house a softshell turtle with aros or any other fish,anything. I had a 7"softshell turtle in my 85 gallon with a very colorful 8-9" silver aro two pbass and a knifefish i wake up one morning and the evil turtle ate the knifefish one pbass and was still eating the aro:(:cry:i got rid of that evil turtle imediatly they are also very destructive destroying driftwood moving things and burying themselves.

Now you learned your lesson ~~~ Turtle dont mix well with fish

I wanted a soft shell turtle too but now that this has happened I'll pass LOL. sorry for the loss bro
 
Sorry for the loss bro.Though keep in mind,softshells are alot like snapping turtles.
 
well i have mine with two flower horns (3inched) 1 mangrove jack(3 inched) and bunch of 2 innced african cichlids ..they are there for a year now and all what my softshell have eaten is my big crayfish an d I know im still gamblin
