never steal food from a midas!!!

as i was feeding my fish today my 12" midas was about to swallow some pellets and exactly the same second my 3" Jewelfish came and got the pellet out of the midas mouth so instead of grabbing the pellet the midas caught the Jewelfish and wouldn't let go, after a couple of seconds he turned the
Jewel head first and swallowed him full with only a little bit of tail hanging out and started to chew.
after half an hour or so the midas coughed half of the Jewel, tail and a little belly that the rest of the fish in the tank were happy to finish

what would a 3" Jewel be doing with a 12" Midas unless you were planning on feeding him to the Midas?

the Jewel's can take care of themselvs and it was a fluk that the midas cought him {the midas didnt have any intention of catching the Jewel} , but once he got him he just wouldnt let go

so the moral of this story is.....ummm......Your midas doesnt like his feed being taken.
