My angelfish really needed some vitamins to boost its recovery rate after a brush with death, so I go out to my lfs to get some vitamins, and got Kent Zoe. I read the instructions and it said it might help the fish indirectly if added directly to the tank, and will benifit plants. So I think "Okay, my plants need some perking up, too, so I'll just add it directly to the tank." It said to add 1 teaspoon per 50 gallons, and in (_), it said 1 capful. So I screw off the cap and try to dump 3/5 of a capful (for 30g) into the cap. BAD IDEA. this stuff is not meant to be put into the cap. It gushes down my arm and onto the carpeted floor. I put the stuff down and get a towel to wipe it off my arm(I wasn't thinking properly yet.). Now the towel smells like pee aswell as the floor (I used to smell like pee, but luckily, I take showers
) It gets worse, though. I picked up the zoe today, and to my horror, a ring of chemicals had formed around the base of the bottle on my mega-$$$ antique dresser I got from my great-grandmother (Okay, It was from my mother who got it from my grandmother who got it from my great-grandmother).
Three lessons learned. The first is obvious, but the second is: Never trust people who own fish with really valuable furniture. The third: Always keep your valuble items away from stupid people like me
banhim
who spill chemicals on them.
BTW- any ideas on how to get the stains out? water doesn't work
