I left a small 3" crayfish in my 10g community for 3 days, because the other 10g was cycling. I didn't want to risk the cray dying. Baaaaad mistake.

In my 10G there was

4x Black Skirt Tetras
3x Guppies
1x Dwarf Pleco

,

Woke up yesterday to turn tank lights on, CARNAGE.

Everything dead a mangled, many fishes with missing heads, and the 4" pleco no where in sight!

Don't trust your cray, and don't be an idiot like me :(.

they do that.....

well now you know... next time put him in there in the morning so you can watch..

That's what generally happens. The most commonly procured of the cray species are highly aggressive or highly carnivorous (go figure, these are the ones people and stores usually sell, oy!). If you want crays with fish, you have to be REALLY careful about species selection and the set-up, even in short term arrangements.

This lil' pest of mine tore through my Silver Dollars in no time flat.... X_x lol

You had it comming, crays are vicious little things, they're highly aggressive, will eat eachother, and other fish.

haha i like how everyone is telling you that crays will eat your fish...you probly didnt know that huh? goodluck getting the tank back to order
