never trust silver dollars with plants

my silverdollars eat silversides and massivore pellets all the time and i thought by keeping a ton of plants in the tank would keep the plant eating to a minunum so i added a big red sword an amazon sword some red telanthera and chain sword a couple days later the whole tank is full of plant shreds and shredded plants so from now on its just plastic or silk

well known for stripping plants as they are vegatarian,only time ive seen them kept successfully with plants are in massive public aquariums

Well... At least you learned a lesson. Not very fun learning that lesson. Also columbian red-blue tetras are the same from what I've heard.

Try feeding your silver dollars duckweed. They love it.
