so my girlfriend helped me move my 135g tank out of the garage so i could clean it up and paint the back while she was delivering a horse to some one and was going to be gone for like 2 hours. well it was clear skies and the sun was behind our big tree, so it was time to paint the back. well out of the blue, its starting thundering, right after i applied my second coat. this then causes an holy crap moment, since no one is around and i live out in the country. so i find a tarp and cover the tank up, hoping it will atleast not ruin it to much. well i was already mad about that, then mother nature decide its going to hail. so now i am waiting for someone to get home to help move this 6' tank back to my garage. :irked: Thanks mother nature.;)

That's crazy Honda237. Did you finally get your 135 back into the garage? How bad is the damage to the paint job on the back of your tank? Is it a redo issue with your 135, now? I have a 110. Getting ready to do the same thing. It too is 6 ft. long. What method of painting did you choose to paint? Spray, roller or brush? I prefer spray myself. Less mess for clean-up. Let me know how yours turned out. ;)

ya i did finally get my 135g back inside. well lets just say, it got really nasty here and the cover blew off and within two minutes the paint was gone. we got some much rain in just a couple hours. I have done the roller method on a tank that was already running, and it turned out very nice. i was trying the brush method, but i never got to see how it turned out. i will probably just do the roller method, since i already have the paint.

yep it did hail for only for a few minutes and it was pebble sized hail, luckily no damage.
